Meeting young men like Joel reaffirms my belief that the future is bright, that there is still so much potential and promise in the next generation. It's easy to get bogged down by the challenges and uncertainties of the world, but when I see the passion and drive in young people like Joel, I am filled with hope and optimism for what lies ahead.

One of the highlights of our session was when we arrived at Lee's Summit High School, where Joel serves as Drum Major for the marching band. As he donned his uniform and took to the field, his confidence and leadership skills shone through, highlighting his commanding presence. It was easy to see that Joel has the ability to inspire and motivate others, a quality that will undoubtedly serve him well in his future endeavors.As a photographers, we have the privilege of capturing moments in time, freezing memories that will last a lifetime. But far more important than that (at least for me) is the fact that we have the opportunity to connect with incredible individuals like Joel, to hear their stories, and to be inspired by their dreams and aspirations. It is a reminder that no matter how dark the world may seem at times, there are always rays of light shining through, illuminating the path forward.

So, the next time you find yourself feeling jaded or disheartened, I urge you to seek out a high school Senior, to listen to them share about their life, and be reminded that the future is in good hands. Because every young person, like Joel, is a beacon of hope, a shining example of the potential and possibilities that lie ahead.
