Anna and Molly’s wedding at The Maverick in Kansas City was the kind of day that felt beautiful in all the right ways—classic, stylish, emotional, and full of people who were genuinely thrilled to be there.
This was a true black tie celebration, but it never felt stiff or overly formal. It had elegance, absolutely. The fashion was on point, the details were intentional, and The Maverick was such a perfect fit for their wedding. It has that clean, modern, downtown feel without losing warmth, which made it a beautiful backdrop for both the emotional parts of the day and the full-on celebration that followed. And we have to give major credit to A Summers’ Day Events, because this day was so well-planned. Their team has a way of keeping everything moving without making the day feel rushed or overly managed. The timeline flowed, the details came together beautifully, and Anna and Molly were able to actually be present for their wedding—which, truly, is the whole point. Underneath all of that was the real heart of the day: two people who are deeply loved, choosing each other in a room full of their favorite people.
The ceremony was heartfelt and personal, with just the right mix of emotion, laughter, and happy tears. We also had the chance to create some really beautiful portraits of Anna and Molly together—romantic, stylish, editorial and very them. Those quiet little pockets of time are always some of our favorite parts of a wedding day, especially in the middle of such a full celebration.
As Kansas City wedding photographers and videographers, this is exactly what we love documenting: weddings that look amazing, but still feel real. Anna and Molly’s day was elegant without being cold, emotional without being overly polished, and fun without losing the meaning behind it all.
