Sophia stepped into this session with this effortless confidence that stopped us in our tracks a few times. Not forced. Not overly posed. Just her. Strong, grounded, and completely in her element. There’s something wild about watching your own kid step into who they’re becoming—and somehow seeing it all so clearly through a lens.

There are engagement sessions where you ease into the day with golden light and mild temperatures… and then there are sessions like Blake and Peri’s, where winter shows up loud, unapologetic, and absolutely determined to make you earn the photos.

Cold weather couldn’t stop the magic today. With winter making itself known, we embraced warmth, light, and timeless interiors for Scott and Rachael’s engagement session at two of St. Louis’s most iconic indoor locations. These two are tying the knot this October at Hermann Hill, and this session felt like the perfect prelude to what’s going to be a stunning fall wedding.
